So, in the middle of everything today, we ran across a hellaciously distressed momma mallard and a bunch of her baby ducks that had fallen down a sewer grate. Another guy was already trying to fish them out, so my friend and I called animal control before we tried to fish the rest of them out. When Animal Control got there, we had all of them out and the mother duck quacking very happily. I was surprised - none of us got snapped at or hurt. I was even holding onto a bag at one point that had all of them in it and she just watched me.
I love how the duck is perched on the guy’s butt
I’M SO HAPPY

—“…the research used actual quotes about women candidates from media coverage of the 2012 elections and demonstrates that when the media focuses on a woman candidate’s appearance, she pays a price in the polls. This finding held true whether the coverage of a woman candidate’s appearance was framed positively, negatively or in neutral terms.”

Quite frankly, I just feel like offing myself. I know I should be grateful that the government even offers these french lessons much less pays me for them. But it’s hurting me, to work for 1.50 dollars an hour, learning a language I hate because of politics I don’t agree with. Because anglos are considered sub-human. Because someone at one point decided french was more important and that francophones were realer and more deserving of this province.
I’m so tired of feeling like nothing I do is good enough.

This may sound a bit sappy but we remember the first time Lauren submitted her art to us back in 2011 (remember this?). So we can’t help but feel proud that she stuck with her passion and now has her first exclusive gallery exhibition. It probably wasn’t easy but that’s what art is for right? Its our coping tool. In the words of Neil Gaiman “When things get tough, make good art.”
And you certainly have Lauren. If you ever need additional inspiration or support, you know where to go.
We wish you all the best.

Yeah you could call me lame for liking anime or for the fact that I don’t keep up with it anymore. But it doesn’t change the fact that this show changed my life. It saved my life and set me on the path to realising that it’s ok to be different.

—I’m not J.J. Abrams, who’s ultimately responsible. I’m just his Asian puppet. Which, by the way, is also the title of my autobiography.
You can't fail if you don't give up. Logic states that if you keep trying eventually you will succeed. Repeating the same action and expecting different results is not insanity. It's likely that something will happen that you don't expect. These are just a few things I've learned on my time on this planet.
